Movie Musings: Wall Street 2

I offer some thoughts on “Wall Street 2:  Money Never Sleeps,” which opened this weekend:

  1. Sam Harper says:

I’m surprised they let you in there brandishing a video camera.

  2. Adrian Urias says:

well, i haven’t seen the movie, but I think I know whats up with the evolution comment you say is at the beginning and end of the movie. In the first movie, when Douglas utters the iconic “Greed is good” he follows that with “greed…captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.” So evolution is part of that little famous monologue. So I don’t think its like random or anything, but simply a reference to the previous movie. 🙂

    • Brett Kunkle says:

Ahhh. Thanks for the insight Adrian. I’ve been wanting to see the first one but haven’t yet. But that puts the evolution comments into context.

  3. Rich says:

I would not recommend going back to the original if you’re sensitive to foul language. It’s much, much worse than “Money never sleeps”. By the way, “money never sleeps” is a line from the first movie and he really did have that cell phone back then. I had to wonder if there was any money in that clip when he went in.

I didn’t have MY hottie when I went to see it, so I can’t give it 3 1/2 stars.

    • Brett Kunkle says:

Thanks Rich. Personally, I’m not too sensitive to the foul language in movies. I’m much more sensitive to the message behind the movie. But just wanted to make sure others had a “heads up.”
